Neurofeedback in Santa Fe, New Mexico

brain and nervous system balance for people who function differently

Santa Fe is “The City Different”

Santa Fe draws people who think differently — artists, seekers, makers, creatives—those who seek something different, something deeper. There is something in the openness and diversity of the colorful landscape and blend of cultures old and new that celebrates the full range of human experience.

The gifts that come with thinking and feeling differently can also hurt sometimes. There can be an extra level of sensitivity, intensity, and depth that can create chaotic emotions, sensory overwhelm, and trouble sleeping. The same sensitivities that spark artistic imagination and spiritual connection can also exhaust the nervous system.

Neurofeedback trains the brain to regulate itself more effectively. It is holistic, somatic, evidence-based, and safe.

Neurofeedback is a non-invasive, non-pharmacological therapy that teaches your brain and nervous system how to calm, settle, focus, feel safer, and function in a more balanced way. Best of all, the changes endure after treatment — because the learning stays with you, in your own mind, body, and heart.

You may have spent years managing anxiety, focus problems, sleep disruption, emotional overwhelm, or exhaustion. Maybe therapy helped you understand why you struggle, but couldn't fully relieve it. Maybe medication was hard to tolerate and didn't address the root cause.

There is another way. Neurofeedback services in Santa Fe, NM — grounded in neuroscience, the amazing diversity of the human brain and the innate frequencies of nature.

Understanding the process

The Brain Map

The process ideally begins with a Brain Map — a quantitative EEG (QEEG) recording that captures your brain's electrical activity across multiple sites. This creates a precise, individualized picture of your brain: what frequencies are dominant, where there is dysregulation, and which areas may be driving the symptoms you experience.

The brain map takes approximately 90 minutes and includes a clinical intake, the EEG recording itself, and a review of findings. From there, I develop a customized neurofeedback protocol — targeting the specific sites and frequencies most relevant to your goals. Brain Maps must be scheduled in person.

Train the Brain

Using the targeted protocols from your brain map, we begin gently nudging areas of the brain that are less active to begin waking up, areas that are overworked to slow down, and areas that need better connection to begin communicating again. This is done through enjoyable games or videos that reward the brain for moving towards desired function. Most people begin to notice shifts in regulation, clarity, and mood after only a handful of sessions, although meaningful change typically builds over time. Neurofeedback can be offered as a standalone service, or combined with behavioral counseling to increase gains.

Train from Home

After initial set up / onboarding, you train in the comfort of your own home, in your own time and space. No appointments to set and no traffic to navigate.

You train at home 3 to 4 times per week while sessions are monitored remotely and the protocol is adjusted as needed. The subscription includes 30 days of service and can be continued until desired results are achieved. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time.

Remote neurofeedback treatment requires weekly check-ins to review progress, address anything that arises, and support the integration of what the brain is learning. These brief email check-ins are included in the monthly cost. If additional support is needed, a phone call, video call or counseling session can be arranged.
